Up goes the eyebrow in a silent question. She's heard some seniors in the company bragging about these kinds of questions - intentionally misinterpreted, so the guy could feel like he was actually something instead of just doing his job. Granted, the job had been done and done well, but they had to go and make a joke out of it first.

Greg is quite sure Renn would be teased for saying that to a male guard. She is also sure that Renn is sweet, and Greg has never pretended that she didn't want the friendship in addition to guarding. It might even make her a better bodyguard, all things considered. Caring about your client's welfare isn't hard when you want to keep your friend safe.

"No rush," she promises. "Cab's still okay?"

Unlike Renn, though, Greg does think of her own bathtub. She's already groaning internally at the idea of missing out on her tub, but there's no reason she can't soak up a nap in there tomorrow. It's not so comfortable to sleep in a fluffy soft bed, but Greg can grit her teeth this once.
