Subtlety isn't his strong point. He has been playing this game far too long to really care about any of that anymore. However, he does still pick the timing for his reveal carefully. It wouldn't do to scare away the person he just wanted to have a conversation with. He doesn't expect the conversation to be long by any means. Just a quick in and out was all he needs. He doesn't have the time to linger around if she doesn't have the answers he's looking for.
Namely, a way to escape hell. It's far too late to escape death but if she found a way to escape death then maybe there was also a loop hole to avoid his own fate.
